We have all seen the T-shirts that proclaim what life is about.  Baseball is Life or fishing, hunting, golf, football or some other activity is said to be the purpose and reason for living.  What does the Bible have to say about our purpose?

Philippians 1:21  For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Colossians 2:6  So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him,

Romans 6:4  We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Romans 8:1  Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

Galatians 2:20   I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
